Neillsville-National FFA Week (2023)

Neillsville celebrates National FFA Week with trip to capital

Neillsville FFA students had a short, but fun filled FFA week.

Members started the week by going curling at the Marshfield Curling Club where they learned all the ins and outs of the sport. Monday started the week long “FFA Pin Hunt.”

Officers hid pins around the school, and students were encouraged to attempt to find the pin for a prize.

Tinley, a Neillsville Middle School member, found the hidden FFA pin and won a prize.

While in Neillsville, Jacob Kopp, FFA vice president, was in Madison for the FFA Day on the Hill, he also played in the State FFA Band at the Capital.

Tuesday, FFA officers distributed donuts to the whole Neillsville School District staff, in gratitude of the support that the FFA receives every year.

Every morning, the Neillsville High School had a daily agricultural trivia question on the announcements. It was a race between the first-hour classes to see who could call in the correct answer quick enough.

Throughout the week, members had the opportunity to complete the FFA photo scavenger hunt People listening to WCCN could hear the FFA record some agricultural and FFA facts.

The winners of the Neillsville FFA Alumni Hog Raffle which was drawn Feb. 24 were Bob Mosely and Russel Schmidt.
