The Abbotsford High School class of 1936 held its 40th reunion Saturday at the city hall, with dinner served by the Priscilla Guild at the Lutheran Church.

Tables were decorated in the class colors, green and white candles and red roses.

Each member received a bud vase with a red rose with the school name and dates, 1936 – 1976 on it.

Howard Brocker gave the welcome and conducted the reminiscences.

Ernest Haack made announcements, including another reunion in five years.

Ramon Peters led the “Gone – but not forgotten” moments.

Dorothy Rowland conducted the recognition and awards.

A special one was given Alfred Nikolay for coming the farthest distance from Portland, Oregon.

The committee in charge was LaMoine Poeske, Ernest Haack and Dorothy Rowlands.

The next reunion committee will include Otto Schillinger, Dorothy Thieme and Rosalind Kramer.

Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Gorden Gasch, Conneaut, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Peterson, Battle Creek, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Franklin (Dorothy Nelson) Thieme, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Brocker, Iron Mountain, Michigan; Alfred Nikolay, Portland, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schillinger, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Edwyn (Dorothy Carlson) Rowlands, Pardeeville; Mrs. Hugh (Lorraine Jakel), French Mulberry, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. W. V. (Luella (Daellenbach) Struglinski, Chicago, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest hack, Algoma.
