Left to right: (1)  Elise Brechbuhl,  (2) Marie Brechbuhl (1872-1944),  (3)  Gotleib Brechbuhl, the son,  (4) Gotleib Brechbuhl, the father (1869-1943),  (5) Mary Brechbuhl, and  (6)  Rosie Brechbuhl.

Through the years, the Brechbuhl surname has appeared with variant spellings such as Breckbul, Brechfrehl and Brechbudt.  The family moved to Beaver Township shortly after their daughter, "Lizzie" (Elsie, Elise) Breckbul married Henry Bloom on July 12, 1916 in Central City, Iowa.  The newlyweds moved to a farm in the Town of Beaver in 1918 and shortly thereafter, Lizzie's parent's purchased a farm in Section 14 of the Town of Beaver, almost across the road from Henry and Lizzie.
