Dear Christian Congregation:

Greetings in Jesus Name!

The privilege of serving as Pastor of Our Saviour's , then United Lutheran, for 10 years still ranks high for me. The accomplishments seemed small at times, yet in retrospect they did help pave the way for today's 100th anniversary. We seemed so small, - the future didn't always look bright, but we had faith in a marvellous God, and in each other. The little, white church was a "far-cry" from today's modern worship center; the somewhat small-ish congregation differed much from today's size and momentum - yet the common factor was, and is, the Love of God in Christ Jesus our our Savior.

This congregation moved from a country parsonage through a rented home to the present parsonage during our stay in your midst. Even $50.00 for a lot, and $4,000.00 for the parsonage seemed big money at that time in 1940 - yet working together the congregation made a 25% down-payment, and saw the mortgage paid up in about 71 years. The stability of the congregation and the forward motion of its membership was enhanced as you responded to the challenges of the Gospel message of Moving Forward in Christ.

Onward into another century with Christ, so that you and others may think, believe, and live "Onward Into Eternity With Christ" This is our prayer, our wish, our solid confidence in our Great God, and in you, His Christian Congregation.
