Johnson Family
I am the granddaughter of Jennie Myrtle Johnson. She was the daughter of Ada
Johnsons younger brother William Johnson. I believe the picture of Mr. &
Mrs. J. W. Johnson that is shown as the brother of Ada Johnson is not so. I
believe that this was her parents Mr. & Mrs. James Wilson Johnson. Her
mothers name was Lydia Alzada Willard and her father James Wilson Johnson.
Mr. J.C. Johnson was actually her brother James Cole Johnson. The picture is
of Cole (as he was called) and his wife Alice. It was a thrill for me to
find this sight as I have been doing genealogy of my Johnson family. I am
having a very difficult time finding much about William Johnson, my
grandmothers father. I knew he died very young, about 30yrs old. My great
grandmother Lucy Viola Hickman Johnson, was left with five young children.
She did tell me stories of living at different times with her Aunts and
Grandparents. However, I was very young and didn't ask many questions at
that time. I did not know how my Great Grandfather died (I heard it was in
an accident). I am not sure where he is buried. I am thrilled with some of
these pictures on your sight. I recognized Ada immediately from some of my
