Gustave Nicholas Schultz was the son of John Charles and Christina "Barbara" Schultz.  He was born January 23, 1867 in Dubuque, Dubuque, IA and died July 28, 1948 in Ripon, Fond Du Lac, WI.  His father was born October 24, 1836 in Mecklenburg, Germany and died June 17, 1895 in Colby, WI.  His mother was born September 22, 1844 in Esslingen, Württemberg, Germany and died May 26, 1927 in Colby, Clark Co., WI.  Gustave had two brothers, Louis A. (b. May 3, 1876-d. October 14, 1945) and Albert J. G. (b. November 4, 1872.  He also had three sisters: Ella (b. Aug. 1869 in Dubuque, Dubuque, IA); Clara Augusta (b. August 9, 1882 in Colby, WI) and Elnora (b. November 24, 1870 in Dubuque, Dubuque, IA-d. December 11, 1893).

 

Gustave married twice.  His first wife was Lula R. Booth (m. January 1, 1896 in Colby, WI) and Lyda Meta Esther Lietzow (m. June 23, 1906 in Dorchester, WI).
