The United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) give young people between the ages of 18 and 40 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service, and international connections.  The U. S. Junior Chamber is a non-profit corporation-organization.

For the past 86 years, Jaycees have been a force for good in America and around the world.  They have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, ball fields, and housing for the elderly while conducting service and support programs in thousands of communities nationwide.

Jaycees can be found in all walks of life, and right here in our community of Thorp!  From business owners to teachers, from the health care profession to retail sales, moms and dad, young entrepreneurs and college students; we are all involved in this community service organization to help make Thorp a great place to live and raise our families.

With the focus of the nation on volunteerism, from the smallest towns to the largest cities, the Jaycees are enlarging areas of opportunity for young people.  The Thorp Jaycees sponsor many programs in our community including Punt, Pass & Kick, the Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Outstanding Community Member Banquet, Angel Tree, Relay for Life, Fantasy Bazaar, along with many others.

The Thorp Jaycees would like to extend an invitation to all, everyone between the ages of 18 to 40 to join our community service organization.  It feels great to be part of an organization that cares about the community it’s involved in and about its members.  To join the Jaycees today, please call Peggy, Membership Vice President at 715-669-5270 or Julie, Chapter President at 715-669-7171.

NOW is the time to join!  As an added incentive, during the month of FEBRUARY ONLY, join the Jaycees for $25 (yearly dues) and join us at a membership outing at ACTION CITY for FREE!  Dues must be paid by March 1 to qualify.  HURRY CALL TODAY and get involved in the JAYCEES.
