Even though Traditions Assisted Living opened its doors for their open house the day after Thorp was hit by a heavy snowstorm on Wednesday, December 9, the crowds still were able to come out and take a guided tour through the new business in Thorp.  Over 120 residents from the area and neighboring communities came to Traditions for its open house event.

As guests arrived, they were able to sign in for a prize drawing, and then were led through the newly refurbished halls of the town’s historic building on a guided tour of all that the new assisted living facility had to offer.  The crowds of visitors saw the chapel and the beauty shop near the entrance, a sample staged apartment, seating areas, kitchen, dining room, spa bathroom, laundry, and all the other special services that the facility will offer.

Guests were welcomed into the dining room to take part in visiting with others and enjoying refreshments after they completed the tour. Winners of the drawing were later announced.
Traditions Assisted Living would like t give a great big thanks to all of the community members of Thorp that were able to make the open house.  Congratulations to the following winners of the door prizes: Sophie Kaszubowski, Patty Koepke, Tom Bischof, Marian Bielecki, Ann Huls, Myrtle Babbitt, Irene Haas & Larry Gostomski.  If anyone was unable to make the open house please feel free to stop by Traditions for a tour
