“Take me out to the ball game; take me out to the crowds!” With baseball and softball season beginning, this week’s Way Back When photo pays homage to the All-American pastime. Out on the mound, a man pulls back to get ready for the ceremonious first pitch of the game. But there’s something fishy about this pitcher! Dressed in a long-sleeve dress shirt and dark pants, this player seems to be slightly out of place. A row of classic cars are lined up on the opposite side of the fence and an outfielder stands at the ready position over the pitcher’s right shoulder.
