Way Back When

 The Thorp Courier  --   February 14, 2007

This was a time of wide dirt streets void of cars and trucks, awnings shielding the stores from the mid-day sun and barrels holding wares for sale. A man in a hat, and I don’t mean a baseball cap, walks down the sidewalk. Further in the distance you see a wagonload of feed with a load of men on top, putting a whole new spin on public transportation. Do you recognize the town as is (it) was way back then? What about Brown’s Shoes or the hardware store? What can you tell us about this photograph? What do you see in it that we might have missed?
