Biographies:  Darlene Poppe has contributed biographical sketches for William A. Nourse  (1926 - 1986), Glasshof, Chester & Hester, Hodnett, Aaron, Glasshof & Toivo J. & Anita Nevala.

Community Life: Darlene Poppe has contributed a picture from 1946 of several Thorp guys, and it's been posted on the Withee Township community pages.

Poznan: Janet and Stan contributed a scan of an oilcloth plat map and surveyor's statement for the 1895 layout of the village of Poznan. Poznan was never built, but was laid out about four miles east of Thorp, at the location known as Sterling.

Walter Wartolec has contributed a map of Eidsvold from the 1940s. Having grown up here, Walter drew this map by memory--it's truly amazing! In addition, a number of old Eidsvold pictures have been posted.

Cyril was born was born Sept. 8, 1917 and died in January of 1979. He is buried in New St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Thorp, WI

Civil War Burials: The Civil War Diary of John Henry Welsh of Loyal, Clark County, WI who served with Co. I, 29th Wis. Vol. Inf.; was wonderfully written by  Mildred Sterr and contributed by her brother, Sherrin Mack.  We are seeking a photo of John to accompany this extremely interesting book.  If you have one to share, please contact us.

Wood County, WI Cemeteries: Ken Wood is busy updating the cemetery indexes for Wood Co., WI which borders Clark County to the East.  We've included these on the site because many Clark County, WI residents are buried there.  The first update in this series is Rock Cemetery.

Lynn Township: The Lynn Cemetery index has been significantly updated with new data contributed by Jim Sternitzky, our Lynn and Grant Townships Historian.  This was another part of the recent  photo shoot we held in that vicinity a few weeks ago when a group of us snapped well over 2,000 tombstone pictures!  The entire batch of pictures are available upon request.

Cemetery Pages: Ken Wood must have calloused fingers after this one!  He has compiled an index of nearly 10,000 burials for Wood Co. Cemeteries.  This master index includes all the cemeteries in the Wood County Cemetery Index, Volumes 1-9, with the exception of the following cemeteries: Forest Hill, Calvary, and Restlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Grand Rapids, and Hillside Municipal and Gate of Heaven Catholic in the Town/City of Marshfield.  Since many Clark Co. folks are buried in Wood Co., we've decided to include this new reference in our pages.
